For Jennifer Lopez, 2024 was a whirlwind. Reflecting on the year as the one where her “f–king world exploded,” the superstar didn’t let personal challenges dim her light—or her impeccable sense of style. Just weeks after filing for divorce from Ben Affleck, J.Lo stunned at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) premiere of her movie Unstoppable.
The Let’s Get Loud singer arrived in a head-turning mirrored gown designed by Tamara Ralph. The daring dress featured sky-high slits on both sides, held together by three velvet bows on each. The bold ensemble, which left little to the imagination, showcased everything from side boob to hip to ankle. J.Lo completed the look with a metallic Judith Leiber clutch and towering Dolce & Gabbana platform heels.
Despite her recent split and Affleck’s role as a producer on the film, Lopez maintained her focus on celebrating the movie’s debut. (Affleck notably skipped the premiere.)
“It’s always been about the movie,” Unstoppable director William Goldenberg told E! News at the TIFF event. “And that’s their personal business. We just kept it about the movie. We just kept her eye on the prize.”
Jennifer isn’t the only celebrity to captivate the world with a stunning look amid personal turmoil.
The day after Cardi B—pregnant at the time—filed for divorce from Offset, the rapper shared a striking Instagram post that radiated power and resilience.
“With every ending comes a new beginning,” wrote Cardi, who shares daughter Kulture, 6, son Wave, 3, and a 3-month-old daughter with Offset. “I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion!”
In the accompanying photos, Cardi posed while cradling her baby bump, dressed in a crimson gown that left her midsection exposed. The floor-length dress, paired with an oversized fur coat draped across her shoulders, showcased her confidence and glamor.
The Grammy-winning artist went on to celebrate the motivation she found in her children, writing, “I love you so much and cannot wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do. It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”
